Rob’s Decorators carried out this repair, renovation and redecoration project in North London.

Our painters and decorators had to deal with masonry surfaces incorrectly painted with oil-based gloss paint. Our specialists removed all the flaking paint, rubbed down the sash windows, and filled in cracks on render and woodwork, using specialist fillers where necessary.

Some of the windows didn’t work properly so we fixed them. Our decorators restored the mouldings, stone columns and windowsills, returning them to their original shape and look. After diligent preparation of all surfaces we applied primers and undercoats before starting caulking. Now the front of the building was ready for the special Weathershield paints from Dulux. After the last coat of painted we cleaned all the windows and ensured they opened easily.

Because the property was a private therapy centre we had to work with minimal disruption for our client and all her visitors. At the end it was very kind of her to say that she considered us the nicest tradesmen working on this building she’d met in 25 years!
